Occasionally a member sees the following error when logging in for the first time: The OpenAthens scope that this Athens account is registered with is not known to KnowledgeShare. Please contact your system administrator for advice.

This is usually an issue with the OpenAthens permissions for their account and can be fixed by the Athens admin at their LKS.
- In Athens admin, go to Dashboard > Accounts > Modify account > Permissions.
- Tick the box to enable resource permissions.
