A member of staff has left. What do I do about the members they are the assigned librarian for?

Members must be reassigned before their previous assigned librarian's account is deleted, otherwise they will stop receiving updates and journal alerts.


There are two options on the Manage Member Sets page which allow you to transfer multiple members between assigned librarians.


1. If you wish to keep a set of members separate, for example while a staff member is on maternity leave or you are waiting for a new member of staff to take on a role associated with a set of members, you can use Taken Over From. The members will be kept as a set and can be moved back as a set. 


2. If you would like to permanently move individual members or groups of members from one Assigned Librarian to another, you can use Move Member Sets. The members are permanently merged into the new assigned librarian's existing member set.
